COLLINSVILLE, Ill. — The Collinsville Memorial Day fireworks display scheduled for tonight is canceled due to the weather. The fireworks will now take place on the night of Monday, May 27th. Unfortunately, the rest of the Fireworks Festival is canceled and will not be rescheduled.

On Monday, the city plans to hold the fireworks display, but the rest of the festivities, such as live music, food trucks, a kids’ area, and craft vendors, will not take place as originally planned to kick off the summer season.

On May 27, the VIP area, which required a ticket purchase for fireworks viewing inside the Collinsville Aqua Park, will still open at 6 p.m., and the fireworks show will begin around 9:15 p.m.

Members of the public interested in viewing the city’s fireworks display are welcome to find a spot in the Eastport Plaza area and enjoy the show.

The city appreciates all the vendors, food trucks, and others who would have participated under better circumstances. The City of Collinsville shares your disappointment with this outcome but is committed to the safety of its eventgoers.
