Carly Dunn, a freshman at Georgia State University, left home for college this fall, leaving her dog Bo behind with her family.

According to Buzzfeed News, even though the 18-year-old has now been gone for almost a full semester, Bo can't seem to let go.

On Tuesday, Dunn's father texted her a photo of the dog staring out the window as her old school bus rolled by, waiting for her to walk in the door. "Bo still hopes you are getting off after all this time," he wrote in the message.

Have you ever seen something so heartbreakingly adorable?

Apparently the Border Collie mix has never been great with goodbyes.

"Every time I leave the house, he always looks at me so sad and just gives me this face like I'm literally giving him for adoption," Dunn told BuzzFeed News. "Sometimes … I'll just have to take him with me because I feel so bad."

Feeling weepy? Us too. But put away the tissues-Dunn is heading home for the holidays soon to reunite with Bo, so we can all sleep soundly again.
