Collaborator and former Pro-Russian MP detained while crossing the border for justifying RU invasion
Ukraine’s SBU Security Service detained Vladyslav Lukyanov, a former MP from the since-banned pro-Russian Party of Regions, while trying to leave the country, informed sources told NV.
He was accused of justifying Russia’s attack.
The former MP was detained near the border crossing point in Odesa Oblast, the SBU reported.
A 60-year-old man tried to leave for a neighboring country as a person of non-conscription age, the SBU said.
Lukyanov was a MP for the now-banned Eurosceptic Opposition Platform – For Life (OPZZh) in Bakhmut City Council in 2020. After that part of Donetsk Oblast was seized, he agreed to cooperate with Russia and "re-registered" his own Internet provider company under Russian law.
The former Ukrainian lawmaker provided Russian FSB with full access to his existing equipment, which allowed the enemy to monitor the Internet activity of locals.
An investigation showed that Lukyanov moved to Ukraine-controlled territory and managed the company remotely. He also directly financed Russia’s military-industrial complex and occupation troops by ordering his employees to contribute regular payments to Russia’s budget in the form of “taxes” and “fees.”
Lukyanov repeatedly justified Russia’s armed aggression in pro-Kremlin Telegram channels. The collaborator later decided to flee abroad.

The SBU seized the detainee's mobile phone and draft records with evidence of his criminal activities.
Lukyanov was notified of the suspicion under Article 436-2, Part 2 of Ukraine’s Criminal Code (Justification, recognition as legitimate, denial of the armed aggression of the Russian Federation against Ukraine, glorification of its participants).
The former MP now faces imprisonment.
