Cold case: Police ask for help to find killer of woman found in Bakersfield in 2002

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — The Bakersfield Police Department is asking for the community’s help for information in the 2002 killing of Pamela Evans.

Police say Evans, 48, was found dead near a set of railroad tracks in Bakersfield on July 16, 2002.

Evans’ death was ruled a homicide and the manner of her death was blunt force trauma, according to the Kern County Coroner’s Office.

Detectives are seeking information regarding Evans’ relationships, lifestyle and any known friends or associates in 2002.
