REDWOOD CITY, Calif. (AP) _ Codexis Inc. (CDXS) on Thursday reported a loss of $6.3 million in its second quarter.

The Redwood City, California-based company said it had a loss of 11 cents per share.

The producer of custom industrial enzymes posted revenue of $15 million in the period, beating Street forecasts. Three analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $9.6 million.

Codexis shares have dropped 20% since the beginning of the year. The stock has fallen 24% in the last 12 months.
