CNN panel on Trump tape implodes during heated discussion of his lewd language

Tempers flared on CNN Friday night during a panel discussion about the leaked 2005 video in which Donald Trump bragged he could do whatever he wanted to women, including groping them.

Ana Navarro, a Republican strategist, said she was deeply offended by Trump’s remarks.

“I consider him a disgusting man who has consistently disgusted me from the first day of this campaign,” Navarro said. “And I think that every single Republican is going to have to answer the question, ‘What did you do the day you saw the tape of this man grabbing a woman’s p••••?'”

Scottie Nell Hughes, a Trump supporter, pleaded with Navarro to stop repeating Trump’s crude language.

“Can we stop saying that word?” Hughes asked. “My daughter is listening.”

“You know what, Scottie? Don’t tell me you’re offended when I say ‘p••••’ but you’re not offended when Donald Trump says it!” Navarro yelled.

“I am offended by you saying that word over and over,” Hughes said.

“That is just absurd,” Navarro replied.

When news of the Trump tape broke earlier Friday, CNN’s Brianna Keilar was tasked with reading some of the raunchy commentary on-air.

“I will do my best to edit some of the graphic descriptions,” Keilar said.

Describing that part of the tape, Keilar phrased it like this: “And then Donald Trump says, ‘Grab them by the…,’ and he uses a word that begins with a p that is a slang term for a woman’s genitalia.”
