CNN will be launching its new 24/7 news program this September on the Max streaming service, as the network continues to recalibrate its streaming efforts after scrapping its own CNN+ venture last year.

Aptly titled CNN Max, the new programming will offer already-popular shows including “Amanpour,” “Anderson Cooper 360,” “The Lead With Jake Tapper” and “The Situation Room With Wolf Blitzer,” as well as original content made specifically for Max.

Those who already subscribe to Warner Bros. Discovery’s Max streamer will reportedly have access to CNN Max at no additional cost when it launches on Sept. 27, CNN said.

“This provides even more quality choices for Max customers who will be able to easily catch up on what is happening in the world, particularly in moments of breaking news, all within one seamless experience,” said Warner Bros. Discovery’s CEO of global streaming and games, JB Perrette.

New shows made just for streaming will reportedly include “CNN Newsroom with Jim Acosta, Rahel Solomon, Amara Walker and Fredricka Whitfield” and “CNN Newsroom with Jim Sciutto,” which will cover breaking news in the afternoons.

Warner Bros. Discovery CEO David Zaslav said that he hopes a live news offering on Max will help differentiate the streamer from Netflix and other companies.
