CNN Was Hacked by the Syrian Electronic Army

The Syrian Electronic Army hacked CNN's Twitter account Thursday evening and declared all news to be fake. Oh well, time to go home everyone. The SEA has spoken.

A series of tweets appeared on CNN's account late Thursday evening that appear to be authored by the same Syrian hackers who have taken down The New York Times, the Financial Times and the Washington Post

Here are those tweets:

So all news is fake and the hackers will be back. Like the Terminator, but on Twitter so way less threatening. Oh, and a bunch of stuff about Obama Bin Laden, lord of Terror. (Somewhere, a conservative think tank is kicking itself for coming up with that first.)

The news network isn't exactly having the best day on Twitter. Earlier Thursday, CNN faced scrutiny for using the Upworthy style-guide on a headline about a girl stabbing her sister multiple times. CNN also went overboard on Bieber coverage, and this is coming from someone who wrote about Bieber's zit. Maybe this Wednesday is actually a Monday at CNN. Yes, that must be it.
