CNN, CBS instant polls show Obama trouncing Romney in second prez debate

Washington, Oct. 17 (ANI): Instant polls conducted by CNN and CBS both found that US President Barck Obama emerged victorious over his Republican rival Mitt Romney in the second presidential debate. While a CNN poll, after surveying registered voters, found that 46 percent believed Obama won and 36 percent felt the same for Romney, a CBS instant poll for undecided voters found 37 percent gave the advantage to the president, while 30 percent sided with the former Massachusetts governor, and the remaining 33 percent, thought it was a tie, Politico reports. According to the report, a majority of CBS' respondents, 56 percent, felt that Obama would do a better job in helping the middle class, compared to 43 percent who favoured Romney. But on who would handle the economy better, Romney came out ahead of Obama, 65 percent to 34 percent. CNN and CBS were split on who won the vice presidential debate, one siding with Joe Biden and the other with Ryan. For the first presidential debate, both gave the win to Romney, the report said.
