CMAC adds new shows to its summer concert season. See who is coming

Constellation Brands-Marvin Sands Performing Arts Center is adding more dates for the summer concert season with the announcement of two returning stars.

Tickets will go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday, March 15, for classic rocker John Fogerty and guitarist Warren Haynes, both of whom are making return visits to CMAC.

John Fogerty to perform June 11 at CMAC

As the leader of Creedence Clearwater Revival and a successful solo artist, Fogerty is known for classic rock hits such as “Proud Mary,” Susie Q,” “Bad Moon Rising,” “Have You Ever Seen the Rain,” “Centerfield” and many others.

George Thorogood & The Destroyers and Hearty Har will open.

Thorogood, who also is making a return visit to CMAC, is known for classic rock hits such as “Bad to the Bone,” “Move it On Over” and “Who Do You Love,” among others.

Warren Haynes to perform June 9 at CMAC

The Warren Haynes Band & The Dreams and Songs Symphonic Experience will feature two sets of symphonic music plus a third set of Haynes’ signature rock and soul blend alongside the debut of the new Warren Haynes Band on the guitarist's return to CMAC.

Haynes is frontman for Gov’t Mule and formerly played with the Allman Brothers and The Dead.

The show will be conducted by Rich Daniels of Chicago’s City Lights Orchestra, who will lead the Rochester Philharmonic at the CMAC show.

Expect to hear new arrangements of selections from Warren’s catalog and career including music from Gov’t Mule, Allman Brothers Band, The Dead, Jerry Garcia and his solo albums.

What acts have already been announced at CMAC?

In the last month, the Tedeschi Trucks Band, Norah Jones, Brandi Carlile and Sam Hunt all announced CMAC concert dates.

The Avett Brothers will open the summer concert season on May 24. Other acts coming to CMAC include Zac Brown Band, Goose, Oliver Anthony, Jason Mraz & The Superband, Cody Jinks, Chicago, the Little River Band and Pentatonix.
