Clovis Unified hosts Latino Student Success High School Conference

CLOVIS, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) – Clovis Unified held its 11th annual Latino Student Success High School Conference on Monday.

Organizers say more than 650 students got together to enjoy music take part in cultural demonstrations and hear from keynote speakers. Students were also able to meet more than 100 mentors and a college career fair was also set up.

“I was actually able to get a job here last year and work through the summer it’s really exciting event that if students don’t attend it’s a shame because there is a lot of things to do here,” said a senior high school student, Yadira Estrada.

The Clovis Latino Student Success Conference for middle school students will be held on March 2 at Kastner Intermediate School.
