Clovis is a step closer to having a new library

CLOVIS, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) – Clovis is one step closer to having a new library.

The Fresno County Public Library announced on Monday that designs for the new Clovis Regional Library are in.

According to officials, the new building will be located in Old Town Clovis. It will be next to the newly constructed Clovis Senior Center and Transit Hub.

Fresno County Public Library officials say they will continue to post updates as they learn when they can expect to break ground on the project and open.

This new library will be part of the branches in the Fresno County Public Library system.

The City of Clovis partnered with Fresno County in the building of the new library. In 2021, officials said the $19 million project was expected to be completed by the summer of 2022.
