5:30PM Update:

Columbus, Ga (WRBL)- A warmer day for our Tuesday with temperatures reaching into the upper 80s this afternoon. Plus, there were only a few fair weather clouds today as high pressure continues to remain dominate across the southeast.

More clouds will start to build by tomorrow morning, giving us mostly cloudy skies at times for Thursday afternoon. Afternoon highs will reach into the upper 80s again in the evening.

Readings will continue to heat up into the 90s by Thursday but with breezy conditions, the hotter weather will be more bearable. Winds will gust up to 15 mph at times in the afternoon.

By the weekend, chances for showers and storms will move back into the forecast as a front will stall to our north. This will bring multiple chances for storms throughout the weekend and well into next week.

Your Memorial Day forecast remains hot and stormy. We will likely see isolated storms moving in, with a better chance of rain than the weekend. Temperatures will also remain in the 90s.
