Elmira, N.Y. (WETM) – Clouds move in tonight before sunshine and warmth continues into midweek. We end the work week with showers returning. More details below:

TONIGHT:

Clouds move in late today and into the overnight. Even with the clouds, we will remain dry for the region. Lows will fall to the low to mid twenties along with calm conditions.

MONDAY:

We will be cloudy for the early morning but clouds decrease in the mid to late morning to mostly sunny again. It will be pleasant for the rest of the day with highs reaching the lower forties with a breeze from the north at 5 to 10 mph.

REST OF THE WEEK:

Sunshine will remain throughout the region into the middle of the week. Skies will be mostly sunny on Tuesday with near forty. Then we warm up to the mid forties on Wednesday with continued mostly cloudy skies. Clouds will be on the increase on Thursday as a warm front approaches from the southwest. Highs on Thursday will reach the lower fifties. Then we see some showers move in on Friday as we get into the afternoon. Otherwise it will be mainly cloudy with highs near fifty.

WEEKEND:

Chances for showers will continue throughout the weekend. Highs on Saturday will reach the lower fifties and will fall to the mid forties on Sunday behind a cold front that moves through on Saturday. Skies will be mainly cloudy throughout the weekend.
