Clouds move back in for Wednesday; few showers this weekend

Columbus, Ga (WRBL)- After a beautiful, sunny day, clouds start to move back into the forecast later this evening. By tomorrow morning expect mostly cloudy skies. We may see a few peaks of sunshine throughout our Wednesday.

A weak cold front will help winds pick up tomorrow afternoon, gusting up to 15 mph at times. If you are hoping to get some relief from these warmer than average temperatures, you will have to wait a bit longer. Highs will continue to heat up into the upper 80s by the end of the week.

Our next chance for rain moves in Friday afternoon with a few stray showers and even a rumble of thunder at times. These sporadic storms will continue through the weekend. Sunday evening/overnight remains our best chance to see measurable rainfall.

Behind this stronger cold front, conditions clear back up for the start of next week. Temperatures also cool back off into the lower 70s by Monday.
