Elmira, N.Y. (WETM) – Clouds decrease in the evening giving way to sunshine for the rest of the week. Showers will return for the weekend. More details below:

TONIGHT:

Showers will be possible in the evening, but we will dry out as the sun sets tonight. Clouds will be on the decrease after that into Wednesday early morning. It will stay warm with lows dropping into the lower to mid fifties with a breeze from the north at 0 to 10 mph.

WEDNESDAY:

We will dry out for midweek on Wednesday. Skies will be partly cloudy along with pleasant conditons. Highs on Wednesday will be in the lower to mid seventies with a breeze from the northwest at 5 to 10 mph.

REST OF THE WEEK:

We see even more sunshine as we get into Thursday. Skies will be mostly sunny with highs still in the lower to mid seventies. Clouds move back in to round out the work week. Skies will be mostly cloudy on Friday with highs back in the upper seventies.

WEEKEND:

Showers return to the region for the weekend. Chances for showers will be with us for both Saturday and Sunday. There will be more of a chance for showers on Saturday. Highs will be in the mid sixties for the weekend.

NEXT WEEK:

We dry out to start off the new work week on Monday. Skies will be partly cloudy with highs in the lower to mid seventies. Then shower chances returns on Tuesday. We will still be warm our there with highs in the mid to upper seventies.
