Clouds clearing but a few showers possible for Sunday

Columbus, Ga (WRBL)- Finally a break from the rain this morning, but the clouds will hang on a little bit longer in the forecast. This afternoon we will see plenty of sunshine as this cold front continues to move out. While most areas will stay dry, we can’t rule out a few sporadic showers across our Georgia counties today.

Following today we will fall into a dry spell for the majority of the week as an area of high pressure begins to dominate the southeast. With the drier weather will come warmer temperatures. Readings jump into the mid 80s by Monday and into the upper 80s by Tuesday. Lows will sit in the low to mid 60s.

By Thursday, we will likely see highs in the 90s once again before our next storm system. Our next chance for rain move in Friday and again Saturday. Temperatures will still be in the 90s through the start of next weekend.
