Clouds clearing this afternoon; showers for Sunday

Columbus, Ga (WRBL)- The clouds are hanging around a bit longer this Saturday morning but later this afternoon we will see more sunshine! Temperatures will trend a little bit cooler, warming into the the low to mid 70s today.

Sunday: Tomorrow morning showers and a few storms will move back into the forecast as a cold front moves through the southeast. These storms will likely bring heavier rain in the afternoon primarily south of Columbus.

Monday & Tuesday: Behind this front, temperature will trend cooler for the start of the week. Highs dropping into the 60s by Monday afternoon. Winds will also pick up Monday, with gusts reaching up to 25 mph. Readings will drop even further Tuesday morning into the the lower 30s, and some areas will see below freezing readings.

Rest of the Week: Conditions will stay pleasant through Thursday as readings slowly start to heat back up. In the extended forecast, we will be tracking another system moving in at the end of the week bringing showers and storms for Friday.
