"Tailored for you": a clothing brand for all

Ashgan al-Abhar noticed a gap in the market
and launched a unique clothing label
that caters to people with disabilities
(SOUNDBITE) (Arabic) FOUNDER OF 'METFASAL LEEK' CLOTHING BRAND, ASHGAN AL-ABHAR, SAYING:
"The first struggle in this industry is for us to change our perception of people with disabilities, and stop associating them as something related to charity, as if they are people who are unable to pay for a product or the service offered. This is a great challenge, to change society's mental image of the disabled."
Ashgan is planning a commercial launch
She uses volunteers to test her clothes
and even offers them free samples

"One example, at first I couldn't use my hands well while getting dressed, this (tailoring) helped me, and now I get dressed much easier."
