Closures on Howard Street between Sherwood Way and Houston Harte
SAN ANGELO, Texas (Concho Valley Homepage) — For the next few weeks, there will be lane closures on Howard Street between Sherwood Way and Houston Harte.
The Texas Department of Transportation (San Angelo) posted on their Facebook page that “the City of San Angelo will be closing the right turn lane/shoulder of eastbound Freeland Street at Howard Street intersection intermittently between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. until May 6, 2024, for waterline work.” TXDOT also says that the closure is necessary to perform the water utility work.
When no crew is working, “a steel plate will be placed over the trench” so that the work zone can be brought down.
On Tuesday, City of San Angelo crews worked on the Rio Grande Street and Howard Street intersection, which was completely closed to traffic while the work was ongoing.
