Cliffside Park girl, 15, injured by car that struck her in North Bergen driveway
A 15-year-old Cliffside Park girl remained hospitalized after she was struck by a car while sitting in a driveway in North Bergen on Tuesday afternoon, authorities said.
The incident occurred at about 4:30 p.m. in the area of Woodcliff Avenue and Palisade Plaza, North Bergen police Capt. Nicholas Galliano told NorthJersey.com on Wednesday afternoon. The victim was sitting on the ground and may have been in the driver's blind spot, he said.
The girl was taken to Hackensack University Medical Center and was in stable condition Wednesday, Galliano said. The captain did not identify her or the driver of the vehicle.
The crash remained under investigation but appears to have been a "tragic accident," Galliano said.
