Cleveland police: Woman charged in stabbing death of friend who drove away, killing toddler

CLEVELAND - Police say an Ohio woman has been charged with murder in the stabbing death of her friend, who tried to drive away afterward and fatally struck the accused woman's 2-year-old daughter.

Cleveland Police spokesman Sgt. Sammy Morris said Saturday that the toddler's mother, Kimberly Black, is due in court Monday in Cleveland.

Police say Black's friend Sharice Swain was stabbed during an argument Thursday while sitting behind the wheel of a car. She tried to drive away and struck the girl. Another of Black's daughters also was injured.

Police say Black was found naked several blocks from the scene that night and arrested. She has been in custody since and isn't available to comment. It's not clear whether she has an attorney.

Police have not said what started the argument.
