Cleveland’s Own: Aurea Orengo-Caraballo

(WJW) – As part of Teacher Appreciation Week, FOX 8 and Kaulig Giving would like to salute Aurea Orengo-Caraballo as Cleveland’s Own.

Aurea is an energetic third-grade math, science, and Spanish arts teacher at the Cleveland Metropolitan School District’s Luis Munoz Marin Elementary.

Her mantra for students is “I can do it. I will try.”

She said this phrase allows her students to see how they can learn from their mistakes and accomplish whatever they want.
