Clear start to the week; storms move in midweek

Columbus, Ga (WRBL)- A beautiful end to the weekend with clear skies and temperatures warming into the upper 60s. Readings tonight will drop back into the lower 40s.

Tomorrow will be a great to the week and the last clear day of our 7 day forecast. Winds Monday afternoon will start to pick back up with gusts reaching up to 15 mph.

Clouds return by Tuesday morning ahead of our next storm system midweek. Readings will also continue to warm up, reaching into the upper 70s and even 80s by Tuesday afternoon.

A cold front set to move through Wednesday night/Thursday morning has the potential for severe weather to our west. However, as it continues to move eastward the system will likely weaken, but some storms could still be strong.

This front will stall to our south by Friday, bringing multiple rounds of showers and storms starting Friday and lasting well into the next week.
