Father and daughter killed in deadly Ohio house explosion, police say

Macedonia firefighters arrived to find the tanker ripped in half, part of it flung inside the building, and debris strewn across the property and roof, according to the release.

A Summit County hazardous materials team contained the chemical spill.

Freeway Drive was closed for most of the day, reopening just before 8:30 p.m., according to the release.

The Cleveland-based EnviroServe is now heading up cleanup and recovery at the site, under a plan approved by the Ohio Environmental Protection Agency, according to the release. A drainage ditch on the building’s east side is expected to be cleaned and other vehicles parked nearby are expected to be decontaminated.
