He succeeds Dr. Christopher Bailey, who has taken the role as executive director of behavior and students supports for the district.

Before coming to Abilene, Patrick was K-12 principal for the Dawson ISD, where he also was athletic director and discipline coordinator. Dawson is between Waco and Corsicana in East Texas.

“I’m truly grateful and excited for the opportunity to become part of the great things happening at Clack Middle School,” Patrick said in a statement. “I look forward to getting to know our students, staff, and community. I can’t wait to get things started for an exciting school year."

Patrick's education career began in 1999 as a teacher, coach and at-risk coordinator for Glenn Middle School in San Angelo. He also has been with the Brownfield and Wellman-Union school districts, both of which are in the Lubbock area.

His bachelor's degree is from Angelo State University. He holds master's degrees in educational leadership and Christian education from the University of Texas-Permian Basin and Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary.
