City of Wichita pools and splash pads to open Memorial Day

WICHITA, Kan. (KSNW) — The City of Wichita’s pools and splash pads will be opening on Memorial Day, Monday, May 27.

Wichita has six pools and 11 splash pads across the city.

Pools

On Memorial Day, pools will be open from 1 to 5 p.m. and cost $3 per person.

Aley

The Aley city pool is located at 1800 S. Seneca.

Hours of operation are:

  • 1-4 p.m. (Monday)

  • 1-5 p.m. and 6:30-8:30 p.m. (Tuesday through Thursday)

  • 1-6 p.m. (Friday through Sunday)

Daily admission fees are $3 per child or adult. Aley has a free swim day scheduled for Saturday, July 20.

College Hill

The College Hill city pool is located at 304 S. Circle Drive.

Hours of operation are:

  • 1-5 p.m. and 6:30-8:30 p.m. (Monday through Thursday)

  • 1-6 p.m. (Friday through Sunday)

Daily admission fees are $3 per child or adult. College Hill has a free swim day scheduled for Saturday, June 1.

Harvest

The Harvest city pool is located at 9500 W. Provincial.

Hours of operations are:

  • 1-5 p.m. and 6:30-8:30 p.m. (Monday through Thursday)

  • 1-6 p.m. (Friday through Sunday)

Daily admission fees are $3 per child or adult. Harvest has a free day scheduled for Saturday, June 8.

McAfee

The McAfee city pool is located at 1240 E. 14th Street N.

Hours of operations are:

  • 1-5 p.m. and 6:30-8:30 p.m. (Monday through Thursday)

  • 1-6 p.m. (Friday through Sunday)

Daily admission fees are $3 per child or adult. McAfee has a free swim day scheduled for Saturday, June 22.

Minisa

The Minisa city pool is located at 1350 N. Jeanette.

Hours of operation are:

  • 1-5 p.m. and 6:30-8:30 p.m. (Monday through Thursday)

  • 1-6 p.m. (Friday through Sunday)

Daily admission fees are $3 per child or adult. Minisa has a free swim day scheduled for Saturday, July 27.

Orchard

The Orchard city pool is located at 1062 N. Clara.

Hours of operation are:

  • 1-5 p.m. and 6:30-8:30 p.m. (Monday through Thursday)

  • 1-6 p.m. (Friday through Sunday)

Daily admission fees are $3 per child or adult. Orchard has a free swim day scheduled for Saturday, July 13.

Splash Pads

The following splash pads are open from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. seven days a week in the summer.

  • Boston Park

  • Buffalo Park

  • Edgemoor Park

  • Evergreen Park

  • Fairmount Park

  • Lincoln Park

  • Linwood South Park

  • Old Town Square

  • Osage Park

  • Riverside Central Park

  • W.B. Harrison Park

Splash pads are free and open to the public. They are designed to be water-conscious and turn on by pushing an activator button.

The City of Wichita says due to vandalism, Planeview Park’s splash pad will not be open for the 2024 season.
