City seeks public input on Niles, Monterey streets project

Jul. 8—The city of Bakersfield is asking for public input on the Niles and Monterey Complete Streets Project, which aims to make these corridors safer, more accessible, and pedestrian-friendly using Complete Streets strategies.

The city is trying to get federal funds for traffic calming, ADA modifications, raised cycle tracks and new trees to improve users' safety and travel, according to a city memo.
