CHICAGO (AP) -- The Chicago Cubs are hoping to build a video scoreboard at Wrigley Field that is roughly three times the size of the park's famed center field scoreboard.
In a fact sheet released by the team, the Cubs say they hope as part of their $500 million renovation to build a 6,000 square foot "videoboard." The team also wants to build a 1,000 square feet sign in right field similar to a Toyota sign in left field.
The Cubs say both signs would be built in a way that minimizes the impact that they will have on the views from rooftop seating and bars across the street.
Rooftop owners have threatened legal action if the development disrupts their views.
The Cubs plan a news conference on Monday to discuss the project.
