City announces two closures for railroad crossing work
May 13—The city of Terre Haute's engineering department announced Monday that CSX Railroad will be repairing two railroad crossings effective immediately. They are:
—The crossing on Poplar Street near 10th 1/2 Street.
—The crossing on Elm Street between North Ninth and and North 11th Streets.
Work at both locations is scheduled to be completed by 8 a.m. Saturday.
CSX will be repairing a number of railroad crossings in the city throughout the summer, and the city's Facebook page has promised to provide updates frequently.
