"Goodfellas" has unfortunately lost another cast member.

Chuck Low, who played Morris "Morire" Kesseler in Martin Scorsese's classic mobster film, passed away on Sept. 18, reports confirmed on Tuesday. He was 89.

Low's death came just one week after the passing of Frank Vincent, who also starred in the film.

A close friend of "Goodfellas" leading man Robert De Niro, Low was De Niro's landlord when the now-major movie star first got into acting.

Much like several other "Goodfellas" actors, Low would later land a role in HBO's "The Sopranos." But perhaps more importantly, he was an esteemed military veteran who served 30 years as a reserve and four on active duty.

An extensive obituary was featured in the New York Times, which you can read here.
