Chrissy Teigen live tweets bizarre flight turnaround, featuring John Legend
Yep, even celebrities have to go through travel nightmares.
Chrissy Teigen experienced the pain on Tuesday, when the ANA 175 flight which departed Los Angeles for Tokyo was turned back after an "unauthorized person" was found on board, according to KTLA.

LAX airport police told the news outlet that it wasn't a security issue, but passengers would be interviewed when they arrived back to Los Angeles.
.@chrissyteigen is on an international flight that turned around 4 hours in because a passenger isn’t supposed to be on plane. Look at this flight path! This is my Twilight Zone. pic.twitter.com/II06VmfOah

Teigen live tweeted the debacle from the plane, which spent a total of 8 hours and 20 minutes in the air, just short of the route's 11 hour flight time.
a flying first for me: 4 hours into an 11 hour flight and we are turning around because we have a passenger who isn’t supposed to be on this plane. Why...why do we all gotta go back, I do not know

I don’t know why I’m not more upset about this. The pleasure I get out of the story is worth more to me than a direct flight to Tokyo

LAX —> LAX flight complete. Flight time, 8 hours and 20 minutes.

Of course, there are questions to be had over how someone could even find themselves on the wrong flight. The stowaway passenger apparently had a United boarding pass.
They keep saying the person had a United ticket. We are on ANA. So basically the boarding pass scanner is just a beedoop machine that makes beedoop noises that register to nowhere

Teigen's husband John Legend was also on the flight. Everyone gets to suffer equally, except for one fan who managed to get a selfie with the pair.
My first tweet can’t be more epic than this: just survived an 8-hour LAX-LAX flight with @chrissyteigen and @johnlegend on #ANA #NH175 pic.twitter.com/yY0vIqfcja

Unlike the other passengers who will likely have to spend some time in the hallowed terminal halls of LAX, Teigen stayed in a lounge.
The flight will be reportedly rescheduled for Wednesday, according to ABC7.

On Wednesday, ANA issued a statement regarding the turnback.
"ANA wishes to restate its sincere apologies to the passengers on NH 175 that were impacted by the delayed flight from Los Angeles International (LAX) to Tokyo Narita (NRT) on December 26th. We failed to deliver the customer service we strive for and passengers expect from us," the statement reads.
"At the time during the flight, the pilot in command was presented with information about the discrepancy in the passenger manifest. Based on the available information in flight, he made the correct decision to return to LAX."
ANA supports the decision of the pilot, out of the abundance of caution and safety for the passengers and crew onboard."
UPDATE: Dec. 28, 2017, 10:28 a.m. AEDT Added statement from ANA.
