Chris Stapleton concert, David Spade comedy show happening in downtown San Diego Saturday night

SAN DIEGO (FOX 5/KUSI) — The Chris Stapleton concert and David Spade stand-up comedy show are happening Saturday night in downtown San Diego. Here’s what you need to know ahead of the events.

Chris Stapleton’s “All-American Road Show” tour continues Saturday night with a stop in San Diego. The concert, with special guests Turnpike Troubadours and Elle King, kicks off at 5 p.m. Saturday at Petco Park in downtown San Diego. Tickets are still available.

Shortly after tickets went on sale, Chris Stapleton dropped a new album, “Higher,” in November 2023.

The 8x Grammy, 16x CMA and 15x ACM award-winner, and named Male Vocalist of the Year for the seventh time at the 57th Annual CMA Awards, Chris Stapleton will continue his “All-American Road Show” through December 2024 with stops at Minneapolis’ U.S. Bank Stadium, Seattle’s T-Mobile Park, Los Angeles’ Hollywood Bowl, Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena, Cleveland’s Blossom Music Center and Philadelphia’s Freedom Mortgage Pavilion, among many others.

To add to his collection, Stapleton won Best Country Song for “White Horse,” along with Best Country Solo Performance for “White Horse” at the 2024 Grammy Awards.

The “All-American Road Show” tour ends at the Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas on Dec. 7, 2024, with stops in the UK and Ireland in October 2024.

David Spade is also performing Saturday night at the Balboa Theatre in downtown San Diego, with his show “Catch Me Inside” starting at 8 p.m. Former Saturday Night Live cast member and writer, Emmy and Golden Globe nominee, and current host of the FOX game show “Snake Oil,” Spade’s stand-up comedy show is selling fast, with Ticketmaster currently showing a sold out show.

Parking in downtown Saturday night is expected to be limited with congested traffic with both events happening. It’s always a good idea to plan ahead by leaving for the event early and knowing where you’re going to park.
