Starting this week, Alternate Ending Beer Co. is All Elite.

The Aberdeen brew pub will host live showings of professional wrestling sensation "AEW: Dynamite" at 8 p.m. Wednesday.

Airing on TBS, the series has plenty of Jersey fresh talent to potentially cheer on, including the Acclaimed's Anthony Bowens, Orange Cassidy, Jay Lethal and QT Marshall.

Wednesday night's "Fyter Fest 2022 Week 2" special episode of "Dynamite" is set to feature Eddie Kingston facing off against Chris Jericho in a barbed-wire death match, with members of the Jericho Appreciation Society faction suspended above the ring in a shark cage.

While "Dynamite" plays on the big screen at Alternate Ending, there will be food and drink specials available including $15 for a burger and a beer, or $20 for a classic Detroit-style pizza and beer.

Butterfly week at the Monmouth Museum

The Monmouth Museum in the Lincroft section of Middletown is celebrating some of nature's gentlest creatures with Butterfly Week, featuring activities and enriching opportunities for the whole family.

There will be butterfly painting workshops at 12:30 p.m. Wednesday and Saturday. Participation is $30 per painter, $25 for museum members, and the cost includes museum admission.

Events included with museum admission include butterfly face painting from 11 a.m. to noon Thursday, a discussion of the monarch butterfly at 11 a.m. Friday, and other daily activities.

'Nights of Summer' carnival in Stafford

St. Mary's Parish in the Manahawkin section of Stafford is hosting its "Nights of Summer" carnival from 6 to 10 p.m. nightly through Sunday at its parish center, 100 Bishop Lane.

Admission is free, with games, rides and food – including street corn, pulled pork sandwiches, Italian hot dogs and crab cake sandwiches – available for purchase. Wristbands for unlimited rides can be purchased for $35.

Entertainment includes performances by Remember When, The Kootz Band, Reflections Station and Mid-Life Crisis, plus line dancing.

Beatles tribute at The Strand

Bayshore area band The Wag will be hosting a “Beatles Spectacular” this Saturday at The Strand Theater in Lakewood.

The four-piece unit, which has opened for artists like Rick Springfield, Jason Mraz and Jefferson Starship, perform this tribute annually at The Fest for Beatles Fans (the biggest Beatles festival on the East Coast), Abbey Road on the River in Indiana (the biggest Beatles fest in the country), among other venues.

Special guests include Jamie Marie Hannigan, Ralph Capasso, Erez Lirov and Joe Lisa. The show will include two sets of Beatles music, costume changes and a special opening set of Wag originals.

Actor and Author Wil Wheaton once said, “If the Beatles and the Cowsills got together backstage at Ed Sullivan, The Wag would totally be their child.”

It's time to Rock and roll.

Chris Rock, noteworthy Oscars presenter, and Kevin Hart are coming to area stages this week in the Rock Hart: Only Headliners Allowed comedy tour. Shows include 7 p.m. Sunday at the PNC Bank Arts Center in Holmdel.

Will the Will Smith slap be addressed? Rock told a London audience in May that “I got most of my hearing back,” but not much else.

Other dates include Thursday at the Northwell Health at Jones Beach Theater, Long Island; Friday at the Prudential Center in Newark; Saturday at Madison Square Garden in New York; and Monday at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn.

School of Rock at The Basie

Phoenix Productions will present Andrew Lloyd Webber’s “School of Rock” at The Basie in Red Bank this weekend.

The show, taking place in the Hackensack Meridian Health Theater, will follow Dewey Finn, a failed, wannabe rock star who decides to earn an extra bit of cash by posing as a substitute teacher at a prestigious prep-school. He turns a class of straight-A students into a guitar-shredding rock band.

But can he get them into the Battle of the Bands without their parents or the school’s headmistress finding out?

Showtimes are at 8 p.m. on Friday, 3 and 8 p.m. on Saturday, and 3 p.m. on Sunday. Tickets are $20 to $65.

'Funambula' brings fun and thrills to Atlantic City

Circus performer Bello Nock stars in the showcase "Funambula," running at the Music Box at the Borgata Hotel, Casino and Spa in Atlantic City Thursday through Sunday.

The show is set to feature acrobats, aerialists and other performance artists delivering more than a dozen routines.

"Funambula" runs at 7 and 9:30 p.m. Thursday through Saturday, 4 and 7 p.m. Sunday. The Borgata is at 1 Borgata Way. Tickets are $26.24 and more information is at borgata.mgmresorts.com.

'The Women's House of Detention' author speaks in Princeton

Hugh Ryan, the acclaimed author and historian behind "When Brooklyn Was Queer," will be in Central Jersey this weekend in support of his latest book, "The Women's House of Detention: A Queer History of a Forgotten Prison."

Ryan will appear at 1 p.m. Saturday at the headquarters of the Bayard Rustin Center for Social Justice, 12 Stockton Place, Princeton.

There will be a conversation with the author, followed by refreshments and the opportunity to purchase "The Women's House of Detention," which chronicles the history of a former prison in New York City's Greenwich Village.
