Give it up one more time for Chris Pratt!” — Chris Pratt

It feels like just yesterday one of our favorite people in the world — that’d be Pratt — was posting about returning to the role of Star Lord for Guardians of the Galaxy, Volume 2. He even got a Snapchat to mark the occasion!

Fast forward to a few months later, and filming on the second installment of our new favorite Marvel space pirates/misfits is D-O-N-E. Earlier today, director James Gunn wrapped our favorite dancing superhero in front of the whole cast and crew. He handed the mic over to Pratt, who then gave the sweetest speech about the film and what it means to him.

This is going to be the greatest spectacle film of all time!” Pratt announces to the cheering crowd, totally not exaggerating at all. “And each of us has our name on it, and each of us has a piece of it. For our entire lives, people are going to be really impressed that we did [Guardians of the Galaxy]. And if anyone doesn’t believe it, and if you don’t believe it, just give it a year and wait for this movie to come out!

That’s a pretty lofty description for Guardians. But let’s be real, it’s going to be true. There are actually still a few more scenes left to film (some of them involving Gunn’s brother, Sean, who you might know as Kirk from Gilmore Girls) and then it’ll really be over. Then we can watch the movie. And then we can start gearing up for Guardians of the Galaxy, Volume 3: The Mix Tape, or whatever other clever title they come up with. We’ll be there.
