Leonardo DiCaprio is a simple man, one who enjoys the pleasure of having seven pockets to choose from in a pinch (what else is he going to do with all of that money!). He's been photographed wearing the fashionable but functional shorts all summer, but Coldplay frontman Chris Martin may have just put an end to Leo's cargo parade.

“I studied him very closely, personally, and on the Daily Mail website...for about five or six years," Martin explained of DiCaprio before his performance, per Vogue. "What became clear to me was his unbelievable service, his commitment to the business of cargo shorts. This is a guy who sees cargo shorts and says, ‘I’m going to save these shorts from extinction, they should’ve gone out about 25 years ago.’"

Martin continues with an acoustic performance of "Cargo Shorts," which pokes fun at Leo's, ahem, acquired sense of style. Watch the full clip below.

Martin's hilarious lyrics include, “You see I have an outfit that I think is fine, so much that I wear it nearly all the time / Find 100 pairs on my wardrobe shelf, so tell the director I’ll be dressing myself / In my cargo shorts, my cargo shorts / And a newsboy hat and a cap of sorts."
