Watching the trailers for the new movie Gifted, we can’t help but think of what it would be like to see Chris Evans as a dad. In the film, he plays a boat mechanic raising his six-year-old math prodigy niece (Mckenna Grace). His overbearing mother (Sherlock‘s Lindsay Duncan) takes him to court over custody of the little girl.

In a recent interview with E! News, Chris talks about what it’s like to play a dad.

“I have a big family, a lot of little nieces and nephews, and cousins, and a lot of people in my life that I care about,” he says.

But the interviewer goes further.

“Does Chris want to be a daddy?” asks the interviewer.

“Chris does want to be a daddy someday,” Chris answers.

In the interview, Chris also jokes around with Mckenna, who is now ten years old.

And he’s completely adorable, of course.

Crying on cue is a tough thing to do, but I tell you what there is no better catalyst than this little nugget over here,” Chris says. “She is so good and so honest. Those tears start rolling, you would have to be pretty heartless to not get emotional.”

Excuse us while we mop our feels off of the floor!

It sounds like Chris Evans will make an amazing dad someday.
