Chris Evans responded to a flirty Instagram DM from Lizzo with a self-deprecating reference to the time he went viral after accidentally sharing a nude photo of himself on Instagram.

On Saturday, Lizzo shared a TikTok where she said she unsuccessfully slid into Evans' DMs while she was drunk. Her message had three emojis implying she was "shooting her shot" or flirting with the "Avengers" star.

"Don't drink and DM, kids.... for legal porpoises this is a joke," she captioned the video.

On Sunday night, Lizzo shared an update with Evans' response.

"No shame in a drunk DM," he wrote, adding a kissing emoji. "God knows I've done worse on this app lol."

Evans was alluding to when he inadvertently went viral last September after sharing a screen recording from his phone on Instagram that showed him and his family playing the game "Heads Up."

But Evans didn't realize that at the end of the recording a nude photo saved in his camera roll was visible. He removed the post, but not before it was saved and shared widely.

Fans came to the actor's defense and flooded social-media feeds with wholesome photos of the actor with puppies, telling people that the nude photo wasn't being shared with Evans' consent and that deleting it was the right thing to do.

Others noted that the actor had previously spoken about his difficulties with anxiety, which led him to initially turn down his career-defining role as Marvel's "Captain America," and having panic attacks when he was on the set of the 2011 movie "Puncture."

"I really started to think, 'I'm not sure if [acting] is the right thing for me. I'm not sure if I'm feeling as healthy as I should be feeling,'" Evans said last May during an interview with The Hollywood Reporter's "Awards Chatter" podcast.

It's not the first time Lizzo and Evans have shared affection online.

In 2019, Evans shared a video of a girl dancing to Lizzo's hit 2019 song "Juice" with the caption "This kid is cooler than I could ever hope to be."

"Wow marry me," Lizzo responded.
