J. Christopher Collins, of counsel at Mirick O’Connell, will be the recipient of the 2024 Isaiah Thomas Award.

Collins will be honored on April 5 at Mechanics Hall. The 7 p.m. dinner and program will follow a 6 p.m. sponsor cocktail reception; dress is formal.

The award – which honors individuals who volunteer time, energies and abilities to the benefit of others, and who work at improving the quality of life in Worcester – was presented every year from 1950 until 2017. It is returning now under the leadership of Mark Fuller, who is a past award recipient, and the Worcester Regional Research Bureau.

Collins is being honored for serving on numerous boards for nonprofits in Worcester and receiving numerous accolades from the Central Massachusetts Housing Alliance, the March of Dimes, the Boy Scouts of America, the United Way and the Nativity School.
