CHP Red Bluff offers mature drivers class

Officials of the Red Bluff Office of The California Highway Patrol (CHP) say they are dedicated to ensuring the highest level of safety, service, and security for the residents of Tehama County. In alignment with this commitment, the highway patrol states it places significant emphasis on addressing the safety and mobility of mature drivers.

To tackle this important aspect of road safety, the CHP has developed an educational program specifically designed for drivers aged 65 and older. The program, presented by CHP Senior Volunteers and a CHP officer, is offered free of charge.

The two-hour session delves into crucial topics such as roadway safety, reaction times, DUI awareness, and more.

Participants in this program will receive a Certificate of Participation as a testament to their commitment to enhancing their understanding of safe driving practices.

The Red Bluff CHP will be conducting an Age Well, Drive Smart Class 10 a.m.-12 p.m., March 18, at the Red Bluff Community & Senior Center,1500 South Jackson St., Red Bluff.

Given the importance of this program, CHP Red Bluff Lt. Michael Pizzi encourages interested individuals to promptly reserve their spot, as space is limited to 50 people.

To secure a place in this informative class, contact the Red Bluff CHP office at (530) 737-6746.

“Join us in promoting and ensuring safer roadways for all Californians. Your commitment to enhancing driver safety is highly commendable, and we look forward to your participation in this educational endeavor,” Pizzi said.
