Chipotle opens first downtown Detroit location, 30 jobs available
Chipotle opened its first downtown Detroit location on Wednesday along Woodward Avenue.
Next door to Shake Shack and just steps from Campus Martius, the restaurant known for its customizable burritos can be found at 630 Woodward Ave. Suite 360 and will be open daily from 10:45 a.m. to 10 p.m.
The new location will be serving an exclusive menu item, Chicken al Pastor, made with fresh chicken marinaded in seared morita peppers and ground achiote, balanced with a splash of pineapple, fresh lime, and hand-chopped cilantro.
At least 30 positions are available at the downtown location for kitchen leader, general manager, and crew members. All Chipotle employees receive a crew bonus with the opportunity to earn an extra month’s worth of pay each year, a debt-free college degree program, and access to mental healthcare.
Other popular chain restaurants preparing grand openings within walking distance of Chipotle include Chick-fil-A and Dunkin' Donuts.
