Chipotle to give away thousands of burritos — when this happens during NBA Finals

Basketball fans can score a free Chipotle burrito during the NBA Finals — and all it takes is a 3-pointer.

Chipotle plans to give away 300 entrees for every 3-point shot made during the best of seven championship series, according to the California-based eatery.

Up to 10,500 free entrees will be awarded per game, and no purchase is necessary.

Game 1 tips off at 8:30 p.m. ET Thursday, June 1, in Denver, Colorado, where the Miami Heat will take on the Denver Nuggets.

Whenever a player hits a 3-pointer, a text-to-win code will be shared via Chipotle’s official Twitter account, according to a May 30 news release. The first 300 fans who text the code to 888222 will snag a free entree.

The code can be used on any regularly priced entree through June 30, while supplies last, the restaurant said. Message and data rates apply.
