Chicken wing restaurant grand opening on Wanamaker
TOPEKA (KSNT) – A grand opening was held on Southwest Wanamaker Road for a new chicken wing restaurant.
As of Wednesday, Topeka has its first Wingstop at 2121 Southwest Wanamaker Road #103. Before the opening, the closest Wingstop location was at 2233 Louisiana St, Suite G in Lawrence.
“Wingstop aspires to be a Top 10 Global Restaurant Brand and is expanding rapidly nationwide with tremendous whitespace ahead in the Topeka area,” said a Wingstop spokesperson. “We believe that everyone should have a chance to try our signature 12 flavors that put Wingstop in a category of one, and we’re excited to see Wingstop become a favorite, go-to spot for flavor in the community.”
Daily operating hours will be from 11 a.m. to midnight.
“The first franchised Wingstop location opened in 1997, and by 2002 we had served the world one billion wings,” the company website says. “It’s flavor that defines us and has made Wingstop one of the fastest growing restaurant brands. Wingstop is proud to serve up flavor in Kansas.”
