Chicken feed sold in Pennsylvania recalled

(WHTM) — The FDA is alerting consumers as a recall of various types of animal feed from last month has expanded to include chicken feed products sold in Pennsylvania.

ADM Animal Nutrition announced Thursday that it is expanding its original March 30 recall to include 17 additional lots.

According to the FDA, the recall is due to elevated levels of magnesium, sodium, calcium, and/or phosphorus in the products.

Of the recalled products, only one was sold in Pennsylvania, the Pen Pals Chicken Starter- Grower.

The FDA is instructing consumers to immediately stop using the recalled animal feed and return it to their distributor or directly to ADM Animal Nutrition.
