Chicago police search for vehicle in hit-and-run that seriously injured bicyclist on South Side

CHICAGO — Chicago police are searching for the vehicle wanted in a hit-and-run crash that seriously injured a bicyclist in the Auburn Gresham neighborhood.

The incident happened 3:10 p.m. Friday in the 700 block of West 87th Street when a 37-year-old male bicyclist was struck by a vehicle. The man was seriously injured, according to police.

Police are searching for the vehicle involved in the hit-and-run which is described to be a black Chevrolet Camaro soft-top convertible. The car is believed to have front end damage and a broken windshield.

Police said it was last seen traveling southbound on the Dan Ryan Expressway from 87th Street.
