Chemstrand Road, Ensley Street closing: Escambia County officials

ESCAMBIA COUNTY, Fla. (WKRG) — A portion of the road between Chemstrand and Ensley Street will close beginning Thursday, according to Escambia County officials.

The road will close because crews will be installing pipes along the roadway.

Chemstrand Raod is expected to reopen by next Thursday, April 25.

During the road closure, Ensley Street’s westbound traffic will detour to Chemstrand Road, Vine Street Faye Avenue, and back to Ensley Street.

“Residents, pedestrians, local traffic and emergency vehicles will have access to properties within the work area at all times; however, there may be short periods when a driveway or entrance may be blocked temporarily as equipment and materials are moved during construction,” a release from the county said.

Escambia County officials will issue another notice if further roadway closures are scheduled or work is delayed.
