A bride who is a former cheerleader staged an impressive, high-heeled wedding dance with her squad and school mascot.

Video of the bride, Sarah Jones, and her party, all of whom used to cheer at the University of Alabama, was posted to news site AL.com’s Facebook page on Monday, where it earned 130K views, 2.2K reactions, and almost 2K shares in only five hours.

The video was shot by local film company Awaken Films and features the 25-year-old old bride and her former teammates performing a series of high kicks, claps, and jumps in front of a cheering crowd at Jones’s May 6 wedding reception.

At one point, the University of Alabama mascot — an elephant named “Big Al” who wears a crimson-and-white T-shirt (the school colors) — hops into the lineup and does his best to keep up during the school fight song.

Jones is in Costa Rica enjoying her honeymoon; however, her sister, Lauren Berry, tells Yahoo Style that she and her mother schemed to invite the school mascot to the reception without Jones’s knowledge. “Sarah was really surprised to see him there,” Berry says, adding that the friends have performed their former school’s fight song at each of their weddings.

Berry says cheerleaders wear tennis shoes during events; however, the fancy footwear clearly didn’t detract from the team’s enthusiastic performance.
