Coined by Japanese inventor Kenji Kawakami, Chindogu creators offer solutions to problems that technically get the job done, but with gadgets so bizarre and impractical that no one in their right mind would use them. However, that hasn't stopped the mock-movement from gaining enough popularity to warrant a list of official tenets, as well as several books on the subject.
