How to check your car for unrepaired recalls
The tragic death of 16 year old Kyle Plush in Cincinnati, after he was trapped inside his Honda Odyssey minivan, has raised the question: was the minivan under a recall that had not been repaired? Honda USA tells WCPO 9 On Your Side that his 2004 minivan did not have any outstanding recalls. Several other model years were recalled for falling tailgates (2008-2009), and for rear seats that could flip forward (2008-2009), but Plush's Odyssey was not among those recalled.
