Charlotte Remarkable Women winner Donna Reed shares non-profit mission, visit to LA

CHARLOTTE (QUEEN CITY NEWS) — Each year Queen City News and our parent company Nexstar highlight Remarkable Women in our area.

This year, Donna Lee Reed was selected as our local Remarkable Women winner for her amazing work with Home4Me, a voice for teens in foster care.

As the Charlotte area winner, Reed received a $1,000 donation to the charity of her choice.

Her story landed her a trip to Los Angeles where she made it to the top 5, out of more than 100 local winners, competing for Nexstar Woman of the Year!

On Thursday morning, she joined the Queen City News Now team in the studio to chat more about her LA trip and her overall mission.

Microsoft upgrades its AI app-building platforms
Microsoft's big focus at this year's Build conference is generative AI. Azure AI Studio is a toolset within Microsoft's Azure OpenAI Service that lets customers combine an AI model like OpenAI’s recently announced GPT-4o with their own data and build a chat assistant or another type of app that "reasons over" that data. Copilot Studio, meanwhile, provides tools to connect Copilot for Microsoft 365 -- the AI-powered "copilot" in apps like Excel, Word and PowerPoint as well as Microsoft’s Edge browser and Windows -- to third-party data.
